A presentation of NSCMID

“the Society shall facilitate the acquisition and distribution of knowledge in the fields of infectious diseases and clinical microbiology”

This is our objective as it is stated in the current bylaws. This objective and Nordic cooperation are the primary drivers of all NSCMID activities.

The major event of the Society has always been the annual meeting which the five Nordic countries, in turn, are hosting. The meeting is a good place to get updated on current research and to meet with colleagues.

In recent years new working groups and an exchange programme have bloomed - We will continue this positive development and welcome your ideas for new activities!

In 2025, the 41st annual meeting of the Nordic Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (NSCMID) will be hosted by Finland in the town of Mariehamn, the capital of the Åland Islands at 28th - 31st of August.
