The 42nd NSCMID meeting was held on 27th of August to 30st of August 2026 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The scientific program of the meeting itself included various sessions in the field of infectious diseases, antimicrobial stewardship, vaccines, foreign body infections, tick-borne diseases, gut microbiome, infections in immunosuppressed patients, CNS infections, HIV, PrEP and PEP, AMR and carbapenemase producing Enterobacterales and s. aureus bacteremia. 

 

The honorary lecture was given by professor Maiken Cavling Arendrup, University of Copenhagen / Rigshospitalet and Statens Serum Institut (SSI), Copenhagen, Denmark.

 

The NSCMID meeting of 2026 provided a wide range of social activities including a welcome reception at the Statens Serum Institut and a traditional Congress dinner including a boat ride to Aamaans at Refshaleøen.
